Compass’ executive shake-ups continued on Tuesday. The firm, based in New York, announced that Wendy Forsythe was named president of its California, Nevada, and Hawaii operations.
Forsyth, as regional president, will be responsible to oversee all aspects of the company’s operations in these regions.
Forsythe stated that he was very excited to join Compass’ team. “California has a strong and complex market. As we navigate the current economic market, it is hugely beneficial to be a California resident for almost a decade and actively involved in the real estate industry. I look forward to working with the leadership team to drive operational excellence, and continue to provide an exceptional experience for our agents.”
Forsythe has more than 30 years experience in the real-estate industry. She was most recently chief strategy officer at Fathom Holdings. Forsythe was previously a senior leader at HomeSmart International and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate earlier in her career.
Forsythe was also included on the 2023 Swanepoel Power 200 List, which lists the most influential and powerful executives in residential real estate brokerage across North America. This list includes Compass CEO Robert Reffkin.
Reffkin stated that Wendy brings “strong leadership experience combined with a deep knowledge of the residential realty industry.” “California and Nevada are our largest markets, and we are thrilled that Wendy has joined us to lead our agents entrepreneurs and teams in this important market. Her industry knowledge and dedication are ideal for this important role.
