The Agency launches a new franchise for Spain

The Agency, a luxury real estate boutique brokerage, has opened a new office in Mallorca, Spain. The announcement was made on Wednesday. This is the 75th franchise for the agency.
“We are thrilled to expand our European presence with the launch of our new franchise on Mallorca,” Mauricio Umansky, the Agency’s founder and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “Our partner Alby Euesden, a highly respected Mallorcan real estate professional, will be an amazing steward of our unique brand culture and brand,”
The new office will be part of a network that includes franchise and corporate offices throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Lisbon and The Netherlands are other European locations of the Agency.
Jim Ramsay, executive vice-president of franchise sales at The Agency, stated in the statement that “our strategic expansion in Europe was phenomenal as we continue to fuel the demand around the globe for a luxury brand such as The Agency.”
Alby Euesden will be the managing partner of The Agency Mallorca.
Euesden has been in the industry for more than a decade. Before this role, he was a managing partner at Coming Soon, a sales director at Imperial Properties Mallorca and a real-estate broker at Mallorcagold.
Euesden was born in England and moved to Spain when he was a child. He speaks fluently in the local Mallorcan dialect and English and Spanish. He specializes in properties in southwest Spain, particularly Bendinat.
Euesden said, “With its rich culture, history, great climate, scenic coastlines, it is an honor to help bring The Agency’s white glove service to this unrivalled destination.”
The Agency opened its Lisbon office earlier this month. It also launched its European operation in spring 2022, with an office in The Netherlands.
The Agency was ranked 21st in the 2022 RealTrends 500 rankings with a total 2021 volume of more than $9B.
According to the statement, it has closed more than $57 Billion in real estate transactions since 2011.
The firm laid off approximately 4% of its employees this month, or less than 15 of its employees.
